Rah and Rah started in the summer of 2009 with the idea of turning ancient jewellery into modern, wearable pieces. As a small team, Deborah, Sarah and Ron Powell work from a studio on the south coast of England and all pieces are made entirely by hand, each being unique. We take inspiration from the simple craftsmanship found in archaeological pieces, there are few straight lines or perfect circles to be seen.
We work with locally sourced material as much as possible including Dorset Clay and Kimmeridge Shale. Concerning metals, Antique Silver coins, Sterling Silver and Aluminium Bronze feature prominently in our pieces.
